Unlike the Blue Blocks that encases enemies, these Blue Blocks are indestructible. When using the Cube Wispon's special action on the other hand, the player can create Blue Blocks on the ground or in midair that the player can use as platforms. In addition, these Blue Block-encased enemies can be destroyed, which in turn will release Blue Rings. When using the Cube Wispon's basic action near untouched enemies, the Cube Wispon will encase the enemies in Blue Blocks, freezing them in their place. ![]() In gameplay, the Blue Blocks appear as by-products of the Cube Wispon. In this game, the Blue Blocks have no blue Ring inside them. In Sonic Forces, the Blue Blocks only appear in stages featuring the Avatar and the Tag Team mechanic. The Avatar using the Cube Wispon to trap enemies in Blue Blocks, from Sonic Forces. The Blue Blocks are also the only removable objects that cannot be destroyed by Super Sonic. Once the Blue Cube's Wisp Gauge runs out, however, the Blue Blocks will revert back to their original form. Also, when using the Blue Cube, the player can turn all Blue Blocks on the screen into Blue Rings, which can be collected by the player, thus allowing the player to clear out Blue Blocks. ![]() In gameplay, the Blue Blocks are completely indestructible and serve either as platforms for the player to walk on or blockades blocking the paths. In this game, they have a blue Ring inside each of them and are located in fixed positions. In the Wii version of Sonic Colors, and the remaster Sonic Colors: Ultimate, the Blue Blocks appear in the Areas where the Blue Wisps are present, namely Sweet Mountain, Starlight Carnival, Planet Wisp, Aquarium Park and Asteroid Coaster. Sonic using the Blue Blocks as platforms, from the Wii version of Sonic Colors. In gameplay, they are completely solid, allowing the player to stand on them as if they were platforms.
